Career OpportunitiesWorld-Class OpportunitiesCONSUMER ALERT - RECRUITER SCAM Sanmina-SCI has learned that perpetrators of an Internet scam are falsely using Sanmina-SCI's name and logo to lure prospective employees into applying for nonexistent positions at Sanmina-SCI. The scammer often requests that the prospective employee complete a credit report and/or provide a credit card number or bank account number. When the employee asks why such information is required, the scammer often says something like "Sanmina-SCI will be providing you with a business credit card, and wants to check your credit beforehand and wants to ensure that you have a card and a bank account in the event you misuse the credit card." Sanmina-SCI does not require disclosure of personal data such as bank account information, credit card information, or credit reports as part of its employment review process. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is aware of this scam and is investigating. If you are approached by a third party "recruiter" in this fashion, or believe you may have been a victim of a similar scam, you may file a complaint at the FBI's Internet Crimes Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov.
